What if I had trusted myself 

Not half of the time, and not just on the good days

Not second guessing myself 

Giving into my fully potential 

If I trusted myself completely. 

What could I have accomplished

How far would I have gone

If the doubt didn't sent in with the weight on my shoulders

Maybe I could have been rich

Or maybe I could have found a different kind of wealth

The kind that lives rent free in my head

Maybe I should have taken more risks

Spoken up for myself, stepped forward 

Took action to the idea that I have

Believed that sometimes I needed space

But truth is 

Trust isn't something that I missed

It’s something that I can build onto

Everyday is a chance that i can take

To make better

To become better

To become the person that I know I can be
